In a joint effort, the GGBa and the cantonal economic development agencies supported the establishment of 86 companies in Western Switzerland in 2021. These new companies are expected to create 955 new jobs in the next three years.

Evaluation visits to Western Switzerland
118 companies from 29 countries visited Western Switzerland in 2021. This represents a total of 136 first corporate visits, with some companies visiting more than one canton. In order to circumvent travel restrictions amid the covid-19 pandemic, GGBa also organized virtual site visits and e-introductions for companies. Many took advantage of these new digital services. However, the figures only refer to companies that physically traveled to Western Switzerland for an in-person visit.
